Comment : Sweetener which is prepared by a synthetic route from glucose or fruit. Used in sucking sweets, dried fruits, confectionery, sweets, low calorie foods, medicinal syrups, drops, and is one of the most commonly used preservatives in cosmetics. Can cause digestive disorders.

Name : Pectin

Warning : Stomach problems at high doses

Comment : Was detected mainly in the cortex of the apples. Used to thicken jams, jellies, sauces. In large quantities can lead to the formation of gases, and gastrointestinal discomfort.

Warning : No evidence of adverse effects.

Comment : Used to acidification of food products. Derived from citrus fruits. Found in biscuits, frozen fish, cheese and other dairy products, infant food, cakes, soups, rye bread, soft drinks, fermented meat products.
